Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I will be running the London Marathon in April 2010 for a charity called RAFT.

RAFT (The Restoration of Appearance & Function Trust) is an independent charity working to prevent and improve the treatment of major traumas such as burns and wounds and cancers of the skin through advances in medical research and in reconstructive plastic surgery.

Skin cancer is the fastest growing cancer in the Western world. RAFT's research into skin cancer could be of significant benefit - to enable not only improved testing of sunscreens and cosmetics designed to protect skin from damage but also improve the advice to people at risk as regards their own personalised safety in the sun.

By supporting RAFT's work you would be making a vital contribution to the lives of thousands of people in the UK and around the world. For example, their artificial dermis project could make a huge difference in the treatment of leg ulcers and chronic wounds such as burns.

RAFT need to raise every pound they spend. From pipettes to people, from sutures to scientific equipment - all this depends on the donations received.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to RAFT and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.... and THANK YOU!
