Thankyou so much to the jake clan, we're already well on the way to meeting our target. Keep watching this page and sponsor if you can

Yes it is official and correct. Me, Sam and Jake are attempting the Sheffield Half Marathon on the 27th May. In exactly two months time we will battle the brutal hills of sheffield to complete the race. There will of course be a little cheeky wager on who finishes first. But predominantly we will be running as a team.

As a bit of motivation to do the run and for some personal attachments, we have decided to run for the well known charity MacMillan Cancer Support to try and raise a bit of cash to help with the amazing work they do. Basically they offer help, support and advice directly to individuals who suffer with cancer, but also to family and friends who also suffer with effects of an individual having cancer. Have a look at there website to see what they do in more detail. http://www.macmillan.org.uk/Aboutus/AboutUsHome.aspx

As many of you may not or may not know, last year my dad was diagnosed with bowel cancer. As you can imagine this was a very tough time for him, but also for us as a family and all our friends. After courses of radiotherapy and chemotherapy, and a problematic operation, he was able to get through the ordeal and make a full recovery. Now almost 12 months later after he was first diagnosed he his almost back to full health, back working and enjoying life again.

Although this was a very hard time for us all as a family and friends, not every one is blessed with such a lucky and positive outcome. Macmillan give cancer care and support to the people who most need it and there work cannot be done without the donations people make to them. So with every penny we raise we will be able to help some people deal with the effects of cancer.

So I would kindly ask if you could donate as little or as much as you can to help us raise some money for this amazing charity.

We and Macmillan will be very grateful, lastly thankyou for taking the time to read this page, and to all you who sponsor us. It's greatly appreciated.

 Wish us luck

 Tom, Sam & Jake
