Dear friends,

As some of you know I couldn't run the last years London marathon because of the health reasons hovewer, this year I am healthy, lighter for one huge kidney stone and ready to finish this 42K race.

Last year I got a great opportunity to sacrifice a few pairs of trainers (4 so far) and to go through the sweet pain and agony of living with muscle aches and blisters to raise the money for Sightsavers to help the millions of people around the world who are blind and visually impaired many of them unnecessarily.

Just imagine being a child in a school for the blind simply because no one realised that all you need is a pair of spectacles to see normally, or that you have to stop working because you don't have a pair of spectacles for close work or you have cataract.

Why is your support important?

Because 

£5 could prevent 16 families from river blindness for a year

£45 could provide screening for 100 children

£182 could pay for one year's inclusive education - vhich helps visually impaired children to attend school, giving them the best possible chance of an independent future....
