I have decided that I should have a bash at the London Marathon for the last time as I retire.

I've completed it eight times before - but not since 2000! At my ripe old age I am sure I will be struggling on the 26 mile 365 yard course (at least near the end ....... I hope). But I know that I will find extra strength and stamina from the knowlege that I am raising money for a very worthy cause.

I'm hoping to raise a decent sum for a charity that's very dear to my heart - Help for Heroes. I think it's vital that we support our brave troops who, regardless of the politics, put their lives on the line to help keep us safe and preserve our freedom.

Help for Heroes has achieved much since it was formed quite a short time ago - giving practical, direct support to wounded troops. Please be as generous as you can to help them continue their sterling work.
