Hi All,
One of the people dearest to me has epilepsy and as a result I would like you to help me raise money for the National Society for Epilepsy.
Epilepsy is a neurological condition where there is a tendency for people to have seizures that start in the brain.
It is the most common serious neurological condition in the UK and possibly the world. One in every 131 people in the UK has epilepsy. This means that there are at least 456,000 people with epilepsy in the UK. Epilepsy is more common in children and people over 65, but anyone can develop epilepsy; it happens in all ages, races and social classes.
The NSE sponsors pioneering research into understanding epilepsy, improving diagnosis and treatment in an effort to make seizure-free life a reality for all those who suffer from epilepsy.
They also provide magnificent residential care to those whose epilepsy is so severe they need around the clock care.
This is a wonderful charity and I would like to welcome any contribution no matter the size.
