My name is Tony Minter & I am a Cubs Leader from the Ipswich 14th Scouts group based at St Augustine Church.My leader names is Baloo, hence the pictures.
For those of you I work with, this also looks remarkably like my dancing but as I keep telling you, you need to control your jealousy!!
What is this about?
Having spent time wondering what to do with our family holiday this year & not really knowing whether to go overseas or spend time in the UK I saw an advertisement on our work notice board for volunteers to go and help orphans in Moldova & I was interested. We discussed it as a family & I decided to give up trips to Legoland and Felixstowe beach to help others less fortunate that we are & with the support of my family & friends that is what I am hoping to do.
Between the 14th & 28th August I am travelling to Moldova to help as a TEECH volunteer. TEECH volunteers will travel for 3 days and nights to reach Falesti, Moldova and I need to raise £500 in order to undertake the trip so any donations are gratefully received.
The primary mission is to install running water to a summer camp used by local orphans, we will also undertake other repair work and help decorate the camp plus deliver much need aid to the area.
As I said earlier I need to raise at least £500 for the trip, so far my wonderful parents company Conkers of Felixstowe have sponsored me £250 (thanks Mum & Dad, you're the best) so I need to raise the remaining £250 myself so I would be very, very grateful if you could spare some cash to help me on my way.
