ME North East is a regional charity committed to providing emotional and practical support to adults and children with ME as well as raising awareness of this debilitating illness. ME can cause chronic fatigue and extreme muscle pain, amongst other symptoms. My elder daughter, Kate, has ME and we have found the support and advice from ME North-East fantastic. This sponsored swim will help us to say thank-you to them for being there for us.

I am aiming to swim a total of 25 miles by 31st October 2010. Each sponsorship will help me to raise money for the charity and motivate me to get going on rainy mornings!
