Fundraising for Sue Ryder
Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Its been a couple of years since we last collected money for charity, along with John when we did an 81 mile cycle race in Scotland on behalf of a really great cause, McMillan nurses.
We want to reach out again to ask for sponsorship for a very good cause, very close to our heart because of the care they provided our mother once we discovered she had incurable cancer.
Our mother was a lover of life and supporter of everything we set out to achieve, extremely active she was always walking her dogs and very involved in the local community, amongst other things supporting Marlow Rowing Club events and being very involved in a couple of amateur dramatic organisations, as well as a long time contributor to Sue Ryder sales. She was a great friend to everyone she knew and would do anything for her many friends, she was a wonderful human being.
In February 2012, our mother was admitted to Sue Ryder, where she saw out her final days. Sue Ryder treated mum with respect, dignity and comfort in beautiful surroundings, they supported her family, and her last few days were peaceful, quite and dignified, for that we will forever be thankful.
We can not speak highly enough about the humanity provided and would subsequently like to do something to collect on behalf of this wonderful organisation.
Therefore weI will be cycling the London 100 (http://www.prudentialridelondon.co.uk/Prudential_RideLondon___Events/Prudential_RideLondon-Surrey_100.htm), the same route used for the Olympic road race, and as you would expect will cycle the 100 miles as quickly as we can to earn your donations.
So please dig deep and donate what ever you can.
