Thanks for coming to the Typhoo Sports For All donation page!
Typhoo have partnered with The Federation for Disability Sport to fund and launch a new project called “Typhoo Sports for All”. This project will provide training for at least 500 community sports coaches across the to give them the skills to include thousands of disabled people in their training sessions and participate in sport.
Keith Packer (Typhoo CEO) will be involved by being a running ‘buddy’ to Gary Jones, a guy with severe learning difficulties. By being Gary’s buddy Keith will help him to participate in events that he would not be able to run on his own. Gary & Keith will be running the Great North Run together on 20 September and the Great South Run on 25 October with the aim to raise more sponsorship money to go to train more sports coaches on the ‘Typhoo Sports for All’ programme.
Not only that, Keith will be joined by his wife Karen in running both events, and by Caroline Kinsey (MD of Cirkle PR agency) in running the Great South run.
The tie-up with the charity and the launch of the ‘Typhoo Sports For All’ programme will be featured on Typhoo packs instore and we will also be going back on TV in September and October 2009. In addition to this there will be an extensive PR programme to further raise awareness, with Sir Geoff Hurst as the campaign ambassador.
