My story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.  I visited Cheka Sana in November during my trip to Mwansa.  Despite this charity being supported by the Railway Children the centre itself is in desperate need of repair.  This fund has been set up on behalf of Vanessa Vallely and WeAreTheCity.com to provide funds for the centre to make the basic repairs needed and make this a better environment for the street children of Mwansa.  All donations appreciated.

About Cheka Sana

Cheka Sana Childrens Trust is a non-profit charity working to help
street children in Tanzania.

Our aim is to provide children with their basic rights to shelter, security, food, health care, leisure and a general happy, cheerful childhood.

We achieve this through supporting grassroot local projects, and providing long term support and guidance to children through counselling and a full reintegration programme.

Every child deserves the right to enjoy their childhood, with the potential for a bright and happy future.

We believe that for a society to develop efforts must be focused on providing and caring for children in the community, as they are the workers and carers of the next generation.

Our vision is to provide the tools necessary to enable the local community to offer their children their fundamental rights in order to empower them with the prospect of a sustainable future.

So please dig deep and donate now.
