We completed the 3 Peaks Challange last weekend and would like to thank EVERYONE who has supported us. I personally feel a great sense achievement and we had great fun as a team. We made Ben Nevis in under 5 hours (Jen and I didn't quite make it to the top due to bad weather and Jen's knee), Scafell Pike in less than 4 hours (however we got extremely lost and I think this made up for my Ben Nevis with the amount of extra climbing/crawling on sheer faces we did), and Snowdon in 1hour 10 for Ed and Dan and Ross, Dunc and I completed in 1hr 50. So to sum up Horrendous Weather, aching muscles, triedness and a squashed Landrover to come back to, it was hard but amazing.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As some of you may have already heard, I am taking on the National Three Peaks Challenge on 12-13 of August 2011, with a group of my colleagues from Novella Clinical. The team is Jen Reynolds, Dan Trim, Ed Taylor, Ross Bates and Duncan Barker.
We would like to support the Ménière’s Society. My partner Mark suffers from Ménière’s disease a long term, progressive disease which damages both the balance and hearing parts of the inner ear. Symptoms occur every day and include vertigo, tinnitus and hearing loss.
The National Three Peaks Challenge consists of the summit and descent of the three highest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales. Possible you might think EXCEPT ... like Jack Bauer you only have 24 hours to drive between and complete all three!
This is going to be a real challenge for us to complete in 24 hrs and we will all have to cope with a lack of sleep, aches and blisters! We have attached a link, which has more information about the challenge http://www.thethreepeakschallenge.co.uk/national-three-peaks-challenge/organisation.aspx
Novella have been great in supporting us in this challenge and have agreed to match however much we raise as a company.
Alternatively If you would like to donate in cash, you can get a form from me- It’s up to you.
Please help us support this great charity, the more we raise the better!
THANK YOU!
Vanessa, Jen, Ross, Dan, Ed and Duncan
