My story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now!

Here is some information on what exactly is happening to help raise the money:-

On the 23rd July 2012 Pete, Damian, Aaron, Adam and Ben are attempting the 3 peaks over 3 days (it is going to be over 3 days as they plan on pushing themselves really hard and take some long routes!)

DAY ONE - the route will start at Ben Nevis will go around the back to the Carn mor dearg arête and follow this to the summit of the highest peak in Britain.

For more information:- http://www.trekkingbritain.com/bennevisviathecmdarete.html

DAY TWO - they will head to the Lakes to tackle the scarfell range of Mountains to summit the highest peak in England.

For more information:- http://www.outdoorsmagic.com/walking/weekly-route-scafell-pike-via-moasdale/3387.html

DAY THREE - they are going to attempt to get to the top of Snowdon and the highest peak in Wales via the horseshoe!

For more information:- http://www.trekkingbritain.com/snowdonthehorseshoe.htm

This is not easy and in total the 5 of them will climb 13 mountains and ascend nearly 5 kilometres!!

Pete will be blogging their training and attempts on Twitter and you can follow him at @Pete_Lay

Here is the reason on why they are trying to raise money for Marie Curie:-

In February 2012 Pete, Damian, Aaron and Adam's Nan, Christine, lost her battle to Cancer.  Marie Curie were a huge support to her and her family during this most difficult time.

She was a wonderful woman with a pure heart of gold and will be very sadly missed by all her family and friends.

The 3 Peaks Challenge is a great (and challenging) way to raise money for this fantastic cause and hopefully give others the support they need during their difficult time.

THANK YOU again for your donation from not only the 5 taking part in the challenge but from all of Christine's family and friends, we all REALLY appreciate it!
