My story
UPDATE: I felt considering the overwhelming support from everybody, i should put in a bit more effort, so now i am going to be running the Munich half marathon in October too, so basically thats a whole marathon (just with a month inbetween the two halves....). Thank you so much to everyone who has donated so far, and please keep the donations coming in!
Hello, im Vicky and im a cancer research scientist working on finding out why people get leukaemia. I am also a leukaemia survivor of 17 years (and counting), so this is a cause very close to my heart and the work of this charity is probably the reason why I am still around today. I owe them a lot. Research is vital to helping more people survive this terrible disease, but as i know from first hand experience it is so expensive. We must keep fundraising, researching and at somepoint in the future there will be no more deaths due to cancer.

I then completed the Munich half marathon on 14/10/12 with a time of 2hrs18mins, my personal best for a half marathon by 6 minutes! Very happy and proud to have represented Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research. Thank you so much to everyone who has supported me and donated :) x
Thank you so much for all of your support. I completed the Great North Run in 2hrs29 minutes, which i was quite happy with considering I was ill the week before with a cold.
Thank you so much to everyone who has donated. One half-marathon done, one to go! Am aching quite a lot this morning and the last three miles was the hardest thing I have done for a long time, but very glad to have done it in a decent time. Will be looking to beat it in Munich!
Did a 6 mile training run on Friday afternoon in the homeland of Essex...not looking forward to my 11 miler later this week (longest so far is 9.5!)
Just about on target with the running, hoping for a five miler this weekend! Have purchased new trainers to help with the enthusiasm.
