We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give.

I'm doing my second 'Cycle India ride' for HEAL. In 2010, thanks to my family and friends, I raised 3000 pounds and also visited the HEAL orphanage. It was truly inspirational, the kids tug at your heartstrings, and you are never the same again. Funds raised in 2010, have helped buy a 16 acre plot to build a self reliant accomodation for the kids. Cycle India 2012 is to raise funds to start building this dream called HEAL paradise village for underprivileged children and old age home.

It is impossible not to be astonished by India. The humble bicycle truly brings alive the astonishing beauty of India. In Cycle India 2012, we will be cycling a challenging 350km through the beautiful countryside of Kerala ( http://www.heal.co.uk/cycle-ride-itinerary.html), from January 20th-30th 2012.

I'm covering all my own costs and then hope to raise £5000 for Heal.

HEAL is run by professionals, who dedicate their time and effort to better children's lives. HEAL also has dedicated team in India, and as the charity is run by volunteers, almost 99% of the money raised will go to helping the kids in India. As a member of this small charity - www.heal.co.uk, I have seen the impact of your kindness in providing education and healthcare to hundreds of children from underprivileged backgrounds.
