Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Update: Yeah, we completed our two day challenge! The sun shone for us and we completed 21 miles the first day, then 25 (yes the distance is actually 46 miles!) the second. We are a bit weary, but no blisters so all good.
Many thanks for sponsoring us. We hope to be able to give the Joe Glover Trust a sum of around £800 which will help children with Leukemia and their families.
As many of you know, our nephew, Bart, has been having treatment for Acute Myloid Leukemia at the Piam Brown Ward, Southampton General Hospital, since being diagnosed in August 2010. He is doing well and has been really strong throughout all he has endured to date.
Gary and I have decided, along with our friends, Sally Gard and Sarah Grossick our annual sponsorship challenge for 2011 will be walking the whole of the Test Way over two days, that is 44 miles from Inkpen Beacon, in Berkshire finishing in Totton. We are doing this over the weekend of 19/20 March and have been out training most weekends in the wind, rain and the frosty mornings.
We will be walking for the Joe Glover Trust that has helped Bart and his family during his stay in hospital and provides help to families in the South of England.
