My story

In January 2009 my son Samuel had open heart surgery at Birmingham Childrens Hospital to correct a congenital heart defect. As a 'thank you' for the excellent care we received before, during & since his time in hospital, I have set myself a bit of a challenge!

On June 4th 2012 myself & a mad friend are going to run the 87 miles, from the West coast to the East coast of England along Hadrian's Wall to raise money for the Heart Unit @ BCH.

Our aim is to do this within 24 hours!

This is a huge challenge for me & it would really mean a lot to myself & my family if you would donate to this deserving cause. Thanks visiting my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Fundraising is picking up momentum now, thanks to everyone who has sponsored me so far. Ran the 1st 2 legs this week, ~ 30 miles, so now I know what I have let myself in for! The Birmingham Post should be ''running'' a feature tomorrow (sat) take a look.
