Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
On the 26th and 27th April, Whitchurch YFC members will be taking up the challenge of carrying a huge teddy called ‘Jimmy’ up 10 peaks of Shropshire to raise money for the Children’s ward at Shrewsbury and Telford hospital. The more money we raise the more equipment and facilities we can provide for the Children’s ward. There are 20 members ranging from the ages of 17 to 26 taking part in this challenge. The group will start early on Saturday morning trekking The Lawley, Caer Caradoc, Hope Bowdler Hill, The summit of the Long Mynd - Pole Bank, Stiperstones covering approximately 18 miles unless they get lost! On the Sunday the group will be climbing Ragleth Hill, Titterstone Clee hill, the two peaks of the Brown Clee Hills - Abdon Blurf and Clee Blurf and finally The Wrekin. The group have been training regularly and have recently walked The Wrekin and Caer Caradoc. This is a huge challenge for Whitchurch YFC but they are all very excited and are hoping to raise lots of money for a worthy local cause.
