When I visited Nepal in September 2012 it struck me how lucky we are to live in a country like England. Whilst we complain of the problems we face in our day to day lives, nothing compares to the daily struggle many people face in Nepal.  

I witnessed a 'Nepalese' ambulance whilst trekking which consisted of a basket strapped to the head of a man in which an elderly lady was laying.  Our Guide explained that it would be around 20 hours constant trekking for the man to get the lady to the nearest road.  From here it would be a 3 hour car journey to the nearest hospital.

Whilst we complain when we can't get a doctors appointment, the price of prescriptions or the levels of service we receive, I think its worthwhile to consider what others have to go through.
