I am doing this challenge to raise money for TreeHouse the national charity for autism education. Autism is a life long condition which affects children’s development. Children with autism cross the ability range. Some can be gifted in different subject areas but the majority have difficulties relating to other people, many may never learn to speak and may never be independent.
TreeHouse believe children with autism have enormous potential, which the right education can unlock. TreeHouse was founded in 1997 by parents of children with autism and today campaign for better autism education nationally and run a school for children and young people with autism. TreeHouse undertakes policy and parliamentary work and research to ensure autism is a national priority, supports parents to campaign locally and offers training and consultancy on autism education.
Fundraising is vital to TreeHouse, they need nearly £1 million in voluntary contributions each year to continue their work. So please support me and TreeHouse by digging deep and donating today!
I am currently running 5 miles 3 times a week, but with only 3 weeks left I am starting to panic. I am aiming to increase my miles 2 miles a week and am determined to get round that whole 13 mile course. I will need all the encouragement I can get on the day so please do come down to Hyde park on Sunday 11 October for my 9.30 start through the Royal Parks.
Thank you - Will
