Story
Just imagine losing the ability to plan, remember things and make decisions, the ability to walk or to see. These are just some examples of the physical effects a brain injury can have. Now imagine this as a child who just wants to play like any other child, or a young person who just wants to learn at school.
As a company who provide home care and support for adults with Acquired Brain Injuries we see the devastating effects that a brain injury can have on a person’s life and the people around them. On the other hand, we have also seen how these people can turn their lives around through receiving physical and emotional support.
The Child Brain Injury Trust provides information and support services to children, young people and their families.Such services include a 24/7 help line, events to bring families together to share experiences and training for teachers so that a child can return to school with the support they need.
Your Care Services are holding various fundraising events throughout the next year to raise money for this inspiring charity. We will be posting the events on this page.
Your donation can really make a difference to the lives of many children and families.
£25 would pay for an information pack to be sent to a family to help them come to terms with what has happened to their child and what the future may hold.
£100 would fund a 'Give a Child a Chance' grant to turn a childs dream into reality.
£250 would pay for training teachers at a school for how to support a pupil with an aquired brain injury.
£1000 would fund the operating costs of the 24/7 helpline for One month.
