Action Duchenne is a charity for children with Muscle Dystrophy syndrome. Unfortunately there is still no cure anywhere in the world, it’s still a terminal muscle wasting condition and right now we have to live with the fact that anywhere from 8 years old onwards, kids with this condition slowly lose the use their major muscles including arms, back and eventually heart and lungs... they'll be lucky to see their late teens / early 20's. THIS IS FACT.... but we can try to change this.... I believe together we can change this!
Personally, this is more than just a illness that children all around the world suffer from, for me we are talking about my cute, adorable 4 year old cousin Joey. Joey was born with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and has had it for the past four years, Joey is just four years old, and with your help he hopefully will be able to live a full and happy life.
Ok guys this is what I am now willing to do. For those of you who don't know me I am currently a commander in the Army. I have been in the army for a while now and reaching near to the end of my service. Being in the position of a commander, the army is trying to persuade me to sign on more time. What I pledge to do is for every £100 that is donated to Action Duchenne through this page I will sign on an extra month of service.
