Dear all,
The Yoga Junkies are taking part in Yoga Aid 2009 and need your help! :-) On the 31st October our challenge will be to complete 108 Surya Namaskaras (Sun Salutations) and raise a minimum of 3 x £108 = £324.
Surya Namaskara is a complete practice including asanas (postures), pranayamas (breathing techniques), mantra and meditation techniques. All combined this creates a rhythmic sequence that is energising and healing.
Yoga helps with many things and the benefits are endless. Through this experience we aim to raise more awareness to the benefits of yoga. For example the charity I am supporting, The Special Yoga Centre utilises yoga to help those with special needs.
