Hi everyone,
Thanks so much for taking the time to visit my fundraising page. As you may or may not know, I've made the somewhat crazy decision to run 13.1 miles NON-STOP! But all in aid of a fantastic cause.
My inspiration for participating in this year's "Nike Run to the Beat" stemmed from a recent trip to Kenya that my boyfriend made, where he worked as a football coach with young boys who were living in extreme poverty. His stories encouraged me to try and help these poor communities in some way. Also witnessing the awful living conditions in Kibera on the BBC Comic Relief documentary emphasised the genuine hardships that these people must endure through no fault of their own. Please take a few minutes to have a look at KIN’s website and the wikipedia page on Kibera, below.

On a personal note, as a keen runner, taking part in this half marathon is a major challenge for me and one that I am particularly nervous, yet very excited about :)
Every penny counts so please donate any amount you feel you can to this cause...it means a lot to me as well as those who it will be helping.
Many thanks again for taking the time to read this.
xxx
