Story
Update:
James and Justin completed the marathon in record times - James running a personal best in 3:43 (well done James), while Justin performed a recorded worst with 4:27 (but he's very happy not to be trudging through the muddy canal paths of Southall any more :)
A big thanks to everyone that sponsored us. I'll be keeping the page live until the end of April so feel free to sponsor if you haven't already, otherwise thanks again for all the support and helping us to reach our target!
Hi
Thanks for visiting! We're running the Paris Marathon on the 5th April to raise money for two charities, the Mary Hare Foundation (UK) and the Sabah Society for the Deaf (Malaysian Borneo). Both charities provide educational resources and support to deaf children.
We've been training now for a good 3 months and it doesn't get any easier! In fact running 26 miles is really hard - the state of our knees, shin splints and ankles are giving our achilles heels a run for their money...
.....okay okay, so bad jokes aside, it's the money that's keeping us going and we'd really appreciate if you could be generous and sponsor us whatever you can afford. The money raised will be split 50% / 50% between each charity. The web addresses are www.maryhare.org.uk and www.sabah.org.my/kkssdeaf
Please spare what you can - we'll make sure we get round the track - but you can try and keep us motivated. Many thanks & merci! And btw, we're paying for our own trip there and back, cheers.
