Tuesday 9th June 2009 - UPDATE

WE DID IT!!! - All 25 members of Team Abacus made it to the top of Mount Snowdon on Saturday. Despite the hammering rain, chilling winds and thick hill fog, every member of the team scaled the highest mountain in Wales in aid of RMHC. The team are now recovering from their aches and pains and will be posting photos of the climb on facebook later this week

In an equally marvelous achievement, countless sponsors have now raised £4000 for the team, money that will go towards funding the building project at the new Ronald McDonald House at Birmingham Children's Hospital. It's not too late to sponsor us, so please pass on the message to everyone you know and help us raise as much money as possible for RMHC.

Thanks, Team Abacus

Friday 5th June 2009 - UPDATE

The team would like to express a final thank you to all have donated before tomorrow's climb. We are now closing in on £3500 raised, which will spur all 25 climbers to the top. Remember, you can still donate even after the event, so pass on the link to this site to everyone you know over the weekend.

Photos will be on the facebook group just as soon as we can find enough energy to post them (probably Sunday or Monday)! Please go to the link below for more information.

Once again, a final thank you to you all and we'll be back next week for another update!

Thursday 4th June 2009 - UPDATE

There are now just 2 days to go and while the weather forcast may not look great, a massive surge of donations this week means the team will climb in high spirits. Over £3000 has been donated by generous friends, family, colleagues and companies. Many thanks to everyone who has donated, especially this week - your overwhelming kindness is much appreciated.

RMHC have this week confirmed that all the money raised by Team Abacus will be used to complete the building of the new Ronald McDonald House at Birmingham Children's Hospital. The house is due to open in November and will cater for families with sick children by providing 60 rooms over seven floors. Team ABACUS would once again like to thank everyone who has donated to RMHC. Thanks to your generosity we have now raised in excess of £1000. However, there is still a long way to go. Please encourage everyone you know to take five minutes to visit this site and give as much as they can.

Your support is much appreciated!!

As well as those from the Accounting Centre, many friends and family have now signed up for the challenge. In total, Team ABACUS will be sending 25 brave climbers up Snowdon in aid of RMHC. Please support them by giving generously.

Monday 20th April 2009

Welcome to the fundraising page for Team ABACUS - Accounts Bods Agree to Climb Up Snowdon!

Colleagues from the McDonalds Restaurants Accounting Centre, along with their friends and family will be climbing 3,500ft to the summit of Mount Snowdon in aid of Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC).
