Story

Hi everyone!

Those of you who know me will know that my animals are my life. They depend on me for everything and I intend to give them all they need and ask for!

However, some animals aren't so lucky. Some are hurt and maltreated. Some are abandoned. Some lose their owners to illness or old age or exceptional circumstances.

Dogs Trust takes in abandoned, surrendered and mistreated dogs and cares for them, feeds them and tries their best to find them a new loving home. And they'll never put a healthy dog down. But this all costs money and Dogs Trust relies on 100% public donations. This is where you (and my dogs and I) come in. Sponsor me what little you can and you'll give a dog a warm bed, a filling meal, a dry place to sleep and, hopefully, a loving new home!

What am I doing to make it worth your while to give away your hard-earned cash? Well, during the last week of July I'm walking the entire length of the Fife Coastal Path from The Forth Road Bridge in the South (North Queensferry) to the Tay Bridge in the North (Tayport). That's 150km or 90 miles. I've given myself 7 days to do it in but am expecting it to take less than that.

To make things slightly more exciting I'm taking my dogs along with me! If you haven't met them they're Sparky (2.5 year old mixed breed) and Kota (1 year old BC). And I'll have my camera. And I'll be blogging about my journey (afterwards, blogging on the trail is kinda hard...) over at my Crazy Dog Blog.

And so I'd really appreciate it if you could spare what little change you have in your pocket (or bank account) to help me along the way. I know times are hard for everyone just now but that's also affecting our pets.

Thank you from me, Sparky and Kota. And from Patsy. And Tammy. And Lassie. And Charlie. And Logan. And the rest of the 37 dogs in Edinburgh's Dogs Trust centre (at the time of writing this) and all the other dogs in all the other centres across Britain.
