My story
Hello and congratulations! - You have made it to the most important place to be on the internet right now - the donation page for my trek across the Arctic Circle.
For more information visit - www.across-the-arctic.com
I AM PAYING FOR THE ENTIRE TREK MYSELF - ALL MONEY DONATED IS GOING STRAIGHT TO MUSHROOM.
In April 2012 I will be attempting to cross the Arctic Circle on a dog sled to raise money for The Mushroom Theatre Company.
The theatre group gets disabled children working with able bodied children to promote a better understanding for all. - The classes given by Mushroom are fully intergrated and focus on the childs individual strenghts. It is a great community and social outlet for everyone involved in the project.
The PROBLEM is that the premises they currently use isn’t suitable and they are at risk of having to exclude the more severely disabled children - which is completely against the ethos of the group.
They need money and they need it fast - so get donating now!!
This is going to be a REAL CHALLENGE for me. I HATE the cold; I don't know anything about dogs, driving a dog sled or surviving in the snow. In fact I think I am the only 27 year old who gets excited when a new electric blanket comes onto the market.
April is fast approaching and I have been in training for some time now. I am taking myself out of my comfort zone and am going to really push myself so that we can raise the money that this fantastic theatre company needs.
Why not join the 15 CLUB - sponsor me £15 or more and you will get a special mention in my charity blog!!.
Thank you again for your support and sending your hard earned cash this way - DONT FORGET TO TICK GIFT AID!!!!
Keep checking the website for updates!!
Bye for now and thanks again!!
Donna
