Six of us will be undertaking an amazing trip of a lifetime – to drive by car, from the UK all the way to Nigeria!! We will be doing this for the amazing charity HOPE for Children (www.hope4c.org).

We are setting off on Friday 14th December and if all goes well, we'll arrive in Nigeria on 4th January.

We are taking the ferry from Genoa, Italy on the 17th, arriving in Tunisia on the 18th. We will then be driving through Algeria for 11 days from the 20th to the 31st and then through Mali and Niger for the last four days.

HOPE (an acroynm for Handicapped, Orphaned, Poor and Exploited) funds projects helping severely disadvantaged children in the UK and abroad. Importantly, this charity spends less than 3% on administration costs. The rest goes straight to the children they support. 

Examples of HOPE’s work include providing prosthetic limbs to children disabled by land mines in Sri Lanka, special equipment for disabled children in the UK and funding for street children centres in Zambia, India, Zimbabwe and the Philippines. Why not sponsor us by mile travelled and you’ll be making a difference to the lives of severely disadvantaged children in the UK and abroad. For example, just £10 will pay for the rehabilitation treatment of a child land mine victim or special needs sensory books and crayons for a disabled child for a month.
