We are all aware of the heartache caused when a child is sick and has to stay in hospital. This heartache is increased further when the hospital is not your local one. Children sometimes have to stay at a hospital away from home due to the specialist treatment they require.

Ronald McDonald House provides families with a home away from home. Not only does it give you some resemblence of normality back, it also provides an un-official network from both the wonderful staff and other families staying there.

Adam's daughter Ella (now 4) sufferered from a rare condition diagnosed as  ADEM (Acute Disseminated Encephalomyelitis), basically her immune system fought of a virus before turning onto her brain, there are less than 10 cases a year of ADEM in the country and she had a rarer form again. This caused her to go into a state of semi-coma for six weeks, when she woke up she had to learn everything again from drinking, walking to who her parents were.

Ronald McDonald house gave the family a chance to be a family again, even the everyday meals in a kitchen rather than microwave or canteen meals really makes a difference.

We know how much Ronald McDonald house helps families, if you would like more information please ask one of us or contact them direct. They provide a wonderful service that is run purely on donations and would not be able to continue the amazing work without the help of people like you.

As you probably know by now we are going on a mad trek across part of the Great Wall of China in October, it's not just walking along a path, we will be trekking along mountains and through jungle, staying with farmers at night. We seriously need your maximum generosity to make a difference. We are covering the expenses of the trip our selves so every penny you donate will go to the charity.

Please help us help them.
