The British Red Cross helps people in crisis, whoever and wherever they are. We are part of a global voluntary network, responding to conflicts, natural disasters and individual emergencies. We enable vulnerable people in the UK and abroad to prepare for and withstand emergencies in their own communities. And when the crisis is over, we help them to recover and move on with their lives.The British Red Cross Society, incorporated by Royal Charter 1908, is a charity registered in England and Wales (220949) and Scotland (SC037738). Hopefully you've just read our facebook page, and already know that the two of us are putting our easily bruised buttock skin on the line, in the name of a good cause.

We're cycling from Lands End to John O Groats, getting soaked to the bone, freezing vital parts, wobbling in the backdraft of lorries, sharing a tent for over two weeks AND eating food from the Little Chef, so that you guys might give a little summinsummint to the Red Cross (inspired by a desire to contribute towards aid for the crisis in Darfur, links on the Facebook page, which we'd love you to read if you get a chance, and write to your MP.... too much?).

You don't have to go all billy big bucks, anything is an added aceness.

Please donate. We know you're nice people already, this will just let a hell of a lot of people feel some of that niceness.
