I'm running for The Actors Charitable Trust (TACT).

TACT gives financial help to actors’ children up to the age of 21 in times of family crisis: at present more than 175 children each year in 110 families. TACT helps with household bills or a special need – a computer, tuition, a holiday with a rarely seen parent, school outings, clothes, small presents, or extra childcare.

Equally important is the professional advice and advocacy from TACT’s Welfare Adviser. Unlike most grant-making trusts, TACT ensures families are visited at least once a year, and much more regularly if the parent would value more support. Our adviser can offer support during custody cases, housing crisis, illness or any other trauma; help with securing the right state benefits and, with kind help from Equity Trust Fund, find ways of managing debts.
