Story

My name is Adam, I'm 44, from West London and right now I have swapped my home comforts for 50 hours in a glass box, which is situated in the foyer of the busy Tesco superstore on West Cromwell Road in Kensington.

I entered the 3m x 2m transparent box at 6.15pm on Monday 20th March 2017, and if successful, will leave at 8.15pm on the Wednesday.

So why a glass box?

Many parents that Caudwell Children support have likened autism to 'living in a glass box' - the difficulty in communication, being stared at from all angles and a sense of feeling isolated - are what some autistic children experience.

Get involved!

I am eating, sleeping and generally keeping myself (and everyone else!) entertained from inside the box, and I would really appreciate your support in spreading the word! Share my just giving page, or better still visit me in-store and take a photo and share it on social media.

Mobile phones and gadgets are banned inside the box, however, I have plenty of things planned for my 50 hours - watch this space..

Don't forget the Tesco superstore in Kensington (W14 8PB) is open 24-hours, so there's no excuse!

Staff and volunteers from Caudwell Children will be on hand to share information on how they support autistic children across West London. If you have a specific enquiry or just want more information on the condition, please come and see us.

You can donate in-store, here on just giving or via your mobile phone. Simply text LIFA73 £amount to 70070.

Thank you for reading all about my challenge!

Best wishes, Adam.
