“I used to think all Mums lay around all day and didn’t work. But now when I go to my friend’s houses I see the stuff that their Mums do. Some Mums work and some stay at home and clean and cook and help my friends with their homework. I can’t ever remember my Mum doing stuff like that. My sister makes food for me when she’s around but most nights she’s out so I just eat cereal and milk for dinner because I can make that for myself.”
