We are taking part in a driving instructor's challenge driving from Land's End to John O'Groats (LEJOG) which is being organised by UKDIC, we will be driving from Belfast and back to Belfast, which will be a total of around 1800 miles in four days.
We are raising funds for a cause close to all our hearts and that is Cancer. All donations through this page will be going to Marie Curie hospice in Belfast in memory of a friend and colleague Margaret (Mags) Adair who sadly passed away on 22nd June 2009 aged 49, a victim of this cruel disease, the donation will be made in Mag's name and not in the name of any driving school.
We intend to cover all costs for the journey through corporate sponsorship, any shortfall will be paid for by ourselves so that all donations will be for the cause.
We have been generously assisted by Charles Hurst Peugeot (Belfast) - www.charleshurstgroup.co.uk/cars/PEUGEOT/ who have loaned us a car and insurance etc for the event, NorfolkLine.com who are providing ferry crossings in support and kolorprint.com who have provided advertising literature. We would also like to thank the committees of the two local ADI associations, DIANI and NIADIA for their support in this challenge, DIANI presented us with a cheque for £100.00 and raised a further £80.00 in a collection at their AGM, these sums are included "off-line".
We will be leaving Belfast on Thursday 18th of March and driving to Land's End. The event itself will be run over the Saturday and Sunday with us returning to Belfast on the Monday.
