Please do not donate on this site as the emergency situation is over

To make a difference please donate on the new site which will be helping to build a school for the next generation to ensure that the earthquake hasn't destroyed their future.

All,

So far the donations which have been made have helped the people in Asia for the emergency situation so you have helped save many lives. However going forward the next stage is to develop the important institutions which were destroyed. There were many children who died in the earthquake and many schools lost. There is going to be one final drive from my end to channel future donations towards converting existing buildings in the regions into schools so we can provide hope and education to the next generation.

I have discussed the best solution going forward with the DEC and they advise me to partner up with one of their members. I have chosen one of their member’s which has the most insight in that region a charity called ActionAid. I have been given a up-to-date account from people on the ground in the area and converting existing buildings into schools will be one of the best ways in which we can help.

My unusual fundraising quest to assist in the aftermath of the South Asia Earthquake is to snowboard down a mountain, taking a route that is accessible only by helicopter and traversable by the fittest, most experienced snowboarders in the world.

Though at this point I should mention that I’m not extremely ‘fit’ and when it comes to snowboarding ‘experience’ most of mine is on my bottom.  Many would say I need years more experience to successfully negotiate this task.  Perhaps even more extreme, is that the ultimate challenge is not just the snowboarding itself, but the fact that I am blind!
