RNLI volunteer lifeboat crews provide a 24-hour search and rescue service all around the UK and Ireland, while lifeguards keep a careful watch on the UK’s busiest beaches. RNLI lifesaving and drowning prevention depend on supporter fundraising and the generous donations that you and others give.

I MADE IT!

I finished the ride on Wed the 11th of July, at 5pm.

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me on my End-to-End bike ride in aid of the RNLI!

On Friday the 22nd of June I'll be catching the overnight sleeper train from London to Inverness, then driving to John O'Groats at the North Eastern tip of Scotland, from where I'll start my 1,000 mile solo journey to Land's End at the South Western tip of Cornwall, England.

Although most people do their end to end route from LE to JOG to use the prevailing south-westerly winds, I'll be doing it from JOG to LE. There are a few reasons:
1. I'm raising funds for a new lifeboat at Sennen Cove, which covers the waters around Land's End
2. I can look forward to some of Mum's cooking at the end as my parents live in Sennen
3. Hopefully I'll get to play a game of cricket at St Just with my Dad and cousin the Saturday before returning to London
4. It's down hill, right?

The ride will take anything up to 3 weeks, and depending on the terrain I'll be cycling about 40 to 90 miles each day, with a couple of rest days thrown in at appropriate points (or when I really need them).

As mentioned, your sponsorship will be going to the RNLI for their City of London III Appeal. The CoL III will be a new £2.5m Tamar Class lifeboat (the most sophisticated lifeboat in the RNLI's history) and will be stationed at Sennen Cove. Any contributions however large or small will be put to good use - see what your contribution could be put towards here:

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: RNLI - Royal National Lifeboat Institution will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.

Adrian
