About the charity

African Promise is a UK registered charity working to develop five village primary and pre-primary schools in the isolated rural community of Kasigau in south-east Kenya. The initiative of 24-year-old graduate Charles Coldman, the charity has grown from a one-off pilot project which saw the transformation of one of the schools in early 2007. African Promise is committed to advancing education in the five schools and to building a brighter future for their pupils and initiates a number of programmes in order to successfully realise this vision.
