My Self and 9 others (Including my younger brother) Have now completed the Wasdale Fell Race which was ran on the 11th July 2009 for this charity alone, as its the one charity that is close to all of us as we all know people who have been hurt or injured in the current conflicts around the Globe and this is our chance to try and make a better life and caring for all those who it concerns.
It was a long race and and possibly the hardest of its type, entailing 21 miles and over 9000ft of climbing in the Lake district, climbing Pillar, Great Gable and Scafell Pike along the route, we ran the distance as a team and with over 10Kg in weight in Army issue combat trousers in pretty souring heat, to ensure it was something worth sponsoring we completed it as a team, and as one, in a competitive time. Definately one of the hardest things the guys have had to do in one singular day, if you can part with only a fraction of the amount we are trying to achieve it will help, and hopefully give someone who is not so lucky as this ten, to be able to have the care they deserve and should receive.
The team of runners consisted of Airborne / Commando REME soldiers (Royal Electrical and mechanical Engineers) soldiers who are serving in various units across the UK, and have all served in both theatres (Afghanistan and Iraq)
