Thanks for taking time to visit this. From 9th-23rd August, I cycled the length of Britain in aid of The Foundation for Conductive Education.
This is a charity that make the lives of people who suffer mobility problems easier. It currently receives no financial backing from the NHS. I think everyone knows or is related to someone (of any age) who has such difficulties, the cause of which - be it cerebral palsy, dyspraxia, multiple sclerosis - can typically have no medical cure. The FCE is a leading organisation in working around such issues, and the benefits of the advice, techniques and programs implemented are remarkable.
15% of the UK's population is disabled in some way, so there is a great need and a great scope for fundraising within the FCE in particular. This charity is 100% committed to improving the quality of life for those with motor illnesses, which is why I have especially chosen to champion it.
The scenic route we completed over 12.5 days was a scenic but tough one. It felt very much worth all the preparation and pain at the end. I am more than happy to send any pictures from the journey to anyone who would like them. Hopefully it might encourage others to do the same trip.Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor people: The Foundation for Conductive Education will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. Many thanks for your support.
