My story

LONDON TRIATHLON UPDATE! - On Sunday 2nd August my brother John and I completed our 6 month quest to conquer the Olympic Distance Triathlon. We had a primary goal of finishing with a smile on our faces which we achieved in 3:21:28 crossing the line together. It was a fantastic challenge to achieve.

Hi everyone and thanks for visiting my 2009 Mazda London Triathlon fundraising page. After running the 2008 Flora London Marathon and raising just over £2,500 for my charity MIND I'd like to repeat that success and raise a minimum of £1,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support this year.

My Stepmum Marjorie sadly died of cancer in January this year after a long battle with the disease. My quest to conquer the Olympic distance 1500m swim, 40km bike and 10km run challenge that is the London Triathlon is in her memory - I know she would have loved to have been watching on August 2nd.

Donating through my Justgiving Fundraising page is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Macmillan Cancer Support gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

I know times are difficult for many people just now but please donate as much as you can afford for a fantastic charity and in memory of a wonderful lady.

Thank you so much and please look out for my training progress updates over the coming months as I compete in the Eton Supersprint triathlon (May 16th) and the Windsor Sprint triathlon (June 14th) before joining 13,000 other triathletes for the big day on August 2nd in London.
