Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
[Update on 14 April - due to knackering my ankle and not being able to run on it at all - I'll be making a final decision about whether to run the marathon this weekend. It isn't looking good, so if that is an issue - then please don't make any more donations. I will be doing the Great City Run in July and will hopefully surmount the marathon challenge at a later date. Nobody is more gutted than I am by the prospect of not completing this. I've come so far and made some changes that I'll be sticking to and it's in no small part down to the support from all of you...so thank you and my sincere apologies in advance if I can't run after all]
The completely unexpected has happened. Despite all my protestations about how mad marathon running is, I've signed up to run the Virgin London Marathon in April 2010. It is probably the biggest and most challenging thing I've ever decided to take on - but something I'm determined to do!
As part of this, I've signed up to run for Shelter, the charity that campaigns for better housing across the country. It's a great charity and all your support is much valued.
The total amount is a huge one and I need to raise at least the target, so please, please, please - give generously! Just £2 per mile is a donation of £52 and is a tiny amount to either show your support, or to have the pleasure in knowing the pain I'll be in!
I'll be keeping a training diary on the local blog that I and my colleagues keep and you can follow my progress from there:

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
Many thanks!
