I am heading up a campaign for Leukaemia Research to find 50 companies to raise £50,000 for our 50th Anniversary in 2010, our 'Big Five-0'.
At the launch of the 'Big Five-0', I was approached by a doctor who told me that Henry Hodge, a friend of ours who has been fighting leukaemia for some time, had been taken to intensive care and was seriously ill. Two days later, he died.
We're looking for companies primarily, but with this news I have decided to launch this appeal, with Henry's family and friends, and other supporters of the charity, to raise fifty thousand pounds in honour of his life, and the brave struggle he put up against this horrible disease. I want ‘In memory of Henry Hodge’ to become one of the fifty £50,000 Big Five-0 members.
It is a big ask, for a big man sadly no longer with us. Please give what you can to help us beat this awful disease.
Thank youAlastair
ps) Make sure you tick the gift aid box so we can claim the tax on your donation too.
