Story

Any of you who know Marcus and I, realise that we are built for comfort and not for distance.  So training for a marathon is as far away from our normal (or lack of) training so you will all know just how hard this will be physically and mentally.

We were originally not going to fund raise as we had secured a general entry place.  However over Christmas 2014, a friend of ours passed away by taking his own life.  John Sullivan (pictured above) meant the world to many people, no more so than to his family. Those who had the privilege to be within his company have all been touched by his support and his cheeky personality.  However no one will ever understand how much torment John had to live with.

This event is memory of John, to raise awareness of male suicide and to support an amazing charity who is supporting those who are dealing with the same torment, Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM).  https://www.thecalmzone.net/about-calm/what-is-calm/

Your support will be greatly appreciated by CALM but also the Sullivan family.

About the charity

We’re the Campaign Against Living Miserably and we’re taking a stand against suicide. That means standing against feeling hopeless, standing up to stereotypes and showing life is always worth living.125 lives are lost every week to suicide. 75% of all UK suicides are male. We exist to change this.
