2007 was a really successful year for fundraising for STEPS. We raised over £4000 so in 2008 i'd really like to beat that !!

As most of you know in August 2006 my little boy Alexander was born with a condition called fibular hemimelia. We knew nothing about this condition and it came as a total shock to me and my family. Basically his fibular bone in his right leg is shorter than it should be, he has a smaller right foot with only three toes. From the age of about four he will have several limb lengthening operations to help gain some length. At the moment he is like any other 21 month old, he wears a specially adapted shoe and on the 4th of December he walked.

We had quite a difficult year  coming to terms with his condition but he did what we feared he might never do, but for those of you who have met him., you know what a determined little man he is.

We started to raise money for the steps charity as they have been a tremendous support to us, we held two really successful charity events in 2007 and intend to do the same in 2008.

I would like to thank all of you who supported the events and hope you will consider supporting any future events. Please check back to this site as i'll add any new info or events to it.

I've arranged a venue for the charity  night. It will be at Solihull moors fc (formerly solihull boroughfc) on Friday 4th July.
The local press are again covering the story so look out for it. If you feel that you or your work/company can help with either a donation towards costs or a raffle or auction prize please let me know. Any questions please let me know!!

We now have the tickets at £5 per person, unfortunately due to space restrictions this is an  adult only event except for 'steps' kids and their siblings.

There will be a £1 raffle, a £20 guaranteed prize raffle, an auction with some fantastic lots. There wil also be other prize games and a chance to purchase some other items.

Burchell Edwards estate agents have kindly offered us an auctioneer, we have a 12 o'clock bar and disco.

It will be a fantastic night a chance to raise much needed funds for steps and win some brilliant prizes.
