Raising money for Jeremiah's Journey

Supports bereaved children and their families in and around Plymouth. It mainly offers support through a group programme which uses creative activities to encourage healthy grieving and happy memories. In the last year it has supported nearly 200 children who have had someone special to them die.

Well, I don't know what has possessed me.... but I am running the half marathon in Plymouth on Sunday 24th May 2009 - THATS 13.1 MILES!!!!!! Madness I know! I am currently on placement at Jeremiah's Journey - a charity that supports children that have lost someone special. We run groups and work with children one-to-one to help them through their bereavement. It is a fantastic charity, and think that the money raised through my running (walking or crawling) will be well received. Jeremiah's Journey relies heavily on donations, and the people that work there are well used to humiliating themselves all for the good of funds... so as I am new to the group I felt I too owed it to them to pull my weight and make them some money... although it all seems very real now, and I am regretting not just having a cake stall!!!!! So ANYTHING you can give to help support this fantastic charity would be greatly appreciated.... and not only will you be supporting them, but I am sure a few of you will also take pleasure in knowing the pain I will be going through not only on this day, but for days, and maybe weeks afterwards as my legs return slowly from jelly back to normal!!!
