Story
Update on 18.5.14
Unfortunately on Thursday 15th May 2014, Andy lost his battle with cancer. He fought it bravely and without complaint, and remained positive right to the end.
If you were lucky enough to know him, then you were blessed by knowing a man who was generous, kind-hearted, intelligent, modest and fun - plus he was also the most wonderful party-game organiser!
Andy really loved reading the comments people made when they donated to his page, and we know that it made a difference.
Anna, his daughter and Katherine, his neice, are continuing the fundraising for Cancer Tesearch UK by running the Race4Life 10k at Crystal Palace on 22nd June. Here are the links:

Update on 13.4.14
Firstly, can I thank each and every one of you who has made a donation - Andy and I are both humbled, overwhelmed and staggered at your incredible generosity and your words of support and encouragement. I think I ran 3.40 and whilst I put in every ounce of effort I had - it was made much easier knowing I was doing it for Andy and with £15k as an incentive!
We would also like to say a massive thank you to the Cancer Research charity volunteers who were so supportive on the course and provided me with a massage, tea, sandwiches and smiles at their Friends and Family base at the finish line - well done for all your efforts.
Finally, if you haven't given please do - we love to read your words and the page is open until June.
An amazing day that couldn't have happened without you all, for Andy, a man who is the best!
Alex
I'm running London this year not for a time or for 'fun' but for Helen's brother - Andrew Wilson. He's currently having chemo for bowel and lung cancer and this is my own way of supporting him and giving something back to the people and charity that are working hard to help him beat it.
Andy's focused on the future and is probably a bit miffed he's not running it himself (ha!) having run both London and New York numerous times. But if you know him you'll know that this time he needs your support both in words and deeds and your donation will make a difference and show him how special is to his family, friends and acquaintances.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
