About our charity : Birmingham St. Mary's Hospice Birmingham St. Mary's Hospice
Every year Birmingham St Mary's Hospice cares for about 1,000 people whose lives are drawing to a close because of illness, usually cancer. The fundamental aim is to help patients to enjoy the best quality of life possible for whatever time they have left and to support families in their bereavement for as long as needed.

Last year Ali's dad, Philip Norton, was diagnosed with cancer of the kidney, liver and spine. Sharon, the cancer liaison nurse at St Mary's Hospice has given support and practical help throughout the course of his illness.
