Story
*** Update - The weather wouldn't allow us to skydive on the 27th - so the jump has been put back until we can re-schedule. I'll keep you all updated! ***
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. And thanks for laughing at the thought of me throwing myself out of a plane, you rotten bunch. It's all in a good cause though - raising money for the fantastic and tireless work of Bottletop, who fund projects having a positive impact on the health and well-being of young people worldwide. By fundraising through fashion and music they focus on helping small, dynamic education initiatives, with a particular emphasis on sexual and reproductive health education.
60% of new HIV infections happen amongst young people, and over 80% of young men and women aged 15 - 24 worldwide don't know how HIV is transmitted. Pretty scary. This means that unsafe sex is now the second biggest risk factor leading to disability or death in the poorest communities. There is so much work to do, both at home and abroad...
Bottletop have incredible programs that they support in Malawi, Rwanda, Brazil and here in the UK. They tackle the issues in a way which is meaningful for young people, and they help them gain the skills to avoid other STD's, unplanned pregnancies and get on with their lives.
Check out www.bottletop.org for more info.
I'll be launching myself from the relative safety of a plane on the 27th September, so please support in any way you can.
(Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Bottletop gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.)
So please sponsor me now!
Thanks.x
