Hi there,
For those of you that I haven't been banging on at telling them all about my training and how much I am running and how long it takes and how much my knees ache and how mostly I want to cry after only 3 miles.......the news is I have entered the London Marathon next year...but that's not the most important thing now because if that wasn't crazy enough.. I have entered a half marathon which is on Sunday 12th of October 2008 in London. It is the London Parks Half Marathon. It's only 13.1 miles... not far or hard.
Anyway mainly I decided to do this because it is obviously such a massive personal challenge but really it is such a good way to raise money for a charity.
However really I wanted to run for a smaller charity, one that really means something to me, needs the money and does something fantastic with it. That is why I approached Beatbullying and was absolutely delighted when they said that I could have a place.
Without giving you the sob story I was bullied at school, I guess it happens to alot of us. But I will never ever forget that pain and how much it hurt.. especially being away from home at a boarding school with no one to talk to. It really helps having charities like Beatbullying and that's why it means alot to me to be raising money for them. Every step will be easier knowing with this sponsorship I am helping to do something that means a child may not feel as bad as I once did.
So really even if you only sponsor me a pound I will be so so grateful, it really will make a difference.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Beatbullying Limited gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Thanks so much. x
ps. the training is actually quite fun god knows how I am going to manage to run the full 13 miles (not to mention the actual marathon) but I just know i will! :)
