Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
There is still time to make a donation via this page to my three chosen charities.
It was cold and damp and I was more than a little bit shaky when I came down! The staff gave me hot sweet tea while I recovered! I was glad to have endured it. Thank you for all your support. Many of you clicked the 'like this' button on the oneandother site on the night when I sat down to eat my fairtrade chocolate, that was because I really was feeling rather faint.
So do give a wee donation - every little counts! And watch out for the article in The Church Times this Friday!.
Blessings
I shall be standing for an hour on the Fourth Plinth from midnight to one am on Sunday 4th October 2009 as part of the 'oneandother' public art project. I am hoping to use the opportunity to demonstrate that the church is about a bigger picture of inclusivity. For someone with a fear of heights, the idea of spending an hour 8 metres up in the air is a daunting prospect. However it is a unique opportunity to raise awareness and funds for three organisations close to my heart, all of whom help people in some way or another to overcome their anxieities and to feel safe. The Society of St Francis in their work reaching out to the poor; Waverley Care Scotland providing support to people living with HIV and Hepatitus C; my own congregation which strives to be an inclusive congregation.
